How To Clean Brass Hardware On Kitchen Cabinets

Rinse the rag wring it out and wipe.
To use simply dip the end of a soft clean cloth into your vinegar and rub the brass until it shines. A thin layer of oil can prevent brass from tarnishing. Wipe the cabinet hardware with the soapy rag. A paste of 2 tablespoons of lemon juice mixed with 1 tablespoon of baking soda will clean and shine the brass cabinet hardware according to simply beautiful kitchens.
Dab a clean cloth with a bit of linseed olive lemon or mineral oil. But make sure the salt is not too coarse as it can scratch the brass. Chrome and steel hardware can be easily cleaned with a vinegar soaked cloth but for rusts use an aluminium foil soaked in water and then scrub. This can be done without removing the kitchen hardware although the items will get a more thorough clean if you can scrub them inside and out with a toothbrush or other soft scrubbing tool.
Some people also use lemon juice and salt in similar proportions. Dip a rag into the soapy water and wring it out. Combine the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of baking soda and stir until it becomes a paste. Apply oil after cleaning your brass hinges.

If the tarnish is heavy let the piece sit with the paste on. Don t be alarmed when the paste bubbles. For tough grime dip a soft toothbrush into the water and scrub.
